bunny juice

no bunnies were harmed in the making of this juice.
the first time i saw a recipe for this shake was in the book Raw Food/Real World. the bunny spice is a creamy combination of almond milk, carrot, ginger, banana, and cinnamon. at the pure juice takeaway in grammercy, they have a bunny brew which is carrot, apple, and ginger. it's more of a juice than a shake, but equally delicious. this recipe is a combo of the 2, swapping pear for apple.
- 5 carrots (approximately)
- 1 pear (ripe bosc juice well)
- chunk of ginger, peeled (about 1 1/2" around and 1/2" thick)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 banana, chopped and frozen
- dash of cinnamon
this recipe does require a juicer and a blender. we have a breville compact juice extractor, which has seen a lot of use, and gets my 5 star rating.
- juice carrots, pear, and ginger. you should have about 1 cup of juice. add more or less carrots to reach this quantity.
- add juice, milk, frozen banana and cinnamon to the blender and blend until smooth.
