some carving inspiration to kick off halloweekend!

a quick trip to hudson valley for the great jack-o-lantern blaze was definitely worthwhile. over 5,000 hand carved pumpkins displayed around the historic Van Cortland Manor.

this sells out crazy fast, so make sure you keep an eye out for when tickets go on sale. it was pretty difficult to get good photos (especially when the people around you insist on repeatedly using flash), but we managed to get a few.

honestly, the photos don't do it justice. it's a spectacle that has to be seen to be believed.
