log cabin quilt: block 23

23 down. time for a first.

plaid! it's kind of a windowpane check, and i don't know why i didn't use it earlier. well, better late than never. move over stripes and spots, there's a new print in town.

• red silk satin
• tan, navy, orange check cotton twill
• yellow linen
• royal blue satin
• navy velvet

well, this block is super kindergarten primary- and i love it. very different from what's been happening with the rest of the blocks. it really shakes things up. why did it take so long to use a plaid?
