vintage crewel kit: ladybug 1

here we go again.

the last crewel was so cute with it's little critter, that this time around i skipped the background and went straight to the best part. this kit looked super promising when it was cracked open:

as with all the previous kits, there was printed linen, all the necessary yarn, the color code, tassel trim for the pillow, and not one, but three needles! not to mention the full stitch instruction booklet- a class act all the way. the first 2 stitches weren't new territory, and it's pretty safe to say that i nailed them. let me have a moment to gloat- when it's time to fill in the body, things could get freaky.
