vintage crewel kit: big shrooms 3

still winging it!

i haven't gotten a bigger hoop yet(this weekend, i swear), so the only area i could work on is the 2nd small shroom. he's actually got a lot of personality, and might be the most interesting part of the whole composition. to recap, i don't know how to crewel. this is where i left off last time:

time to hoop it up:

this guy was worked from the inside out, starting with the outline (which was couched as previously). then his gills were filled in, and finally the cap and stem. it took about an hour, but it went fast. he's a very handsome fellow, so it was worth it.
